Re-Publish app without deleting existing sheets

Hi,
I need to update the script of published app from a stream.
This app has 4 types of sheets - Public sheets, Community, Published by me, My sheets.

 When I duplicate the app from the stream to my Work, I see only the Public sheets as 'My sheets'.

 If I re-publish the app, will I delete the other sheets?
Is there a better way to do the update?

The best way to know this is by trying after that you can delete your test apps.
Lets say your main app is Pub_1.
You duplicate it as Dup_1.
Now again duplicate  Dup_1 as Dup_2.
Publish(Not republish) Dup_2 as Pub_2.
Create Some Community and personal sheets just to test in Pub_2.
Duplicate Pub_2 as Dup_3. Republish Dup_3 to check what happens.

In Enterprise when one publishes other sheets still remain there, but I think you are using cloud so its better to check.

The answer to your question

As long as you have copied the original published version and will be using the Publish and Replace option, you will not be deleting any other sheet
