Send email from outlook to a list of people Via Qlik Sense

Hi Team,

I am working on a Qlik sense report that shows the details of distributors. Now, I want that while checking the individual details of the distributor (for example, goods purchased, payment, next lot date) there should be a button, clicking on which it directs to the outlook email to book an appointment with that distributor.

Is it possible in Qlik Sense. If not then what is the way around?

Hi Sahiba,

You can create a dimension ( like : mailto:email@company.com ) and display it as URL in a data table, when user click on that link, a new email editor by user default email program will pop-up.

Also, will this work with outlook ??

I attached the example app. Please have a look at it.

Yes it works with Outlook, make sure outlook is set to your default app for email in the windows default app setting.

i tried the report you shared. I changed the email address. After, I click on "Email to: sahiba.31@gmail.com', it just opens the Chrome window.

Is there any setting that needs to be updated ?

Try to click on the email in your comment to see what happen.

If nothing happen, check your windows default app setting for email and "mailto" app protocol in: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs

Do you have any idea if I want to the meeting appointment page to open by default rather than the write email ?
