Tool to create Complex Qlikview document in Qlik Sense

Hi All,

I am trying to explore QlikSense.

Been using Qlkview for few years in an enterprise environment.

In qlikview, I use the Qlikview desktop to develop complex dashboards / qvd files / write scripts. I will also connect to oledb / odbc and other data sources.What replaces Qlikview desktop in Qlik Sense for advanced functionalities?

In Qlikview using QEMC, I give access to users to Access Point to certain dashboards that is developed using Qlik desktop. In Qlik Sense what replaces the access point url?

Can some one provide information on the above.

Thank you,

John

far as i know you can just copy and paste your qlikview script to qliksense by activating sense legacy mode .

C:\Users\{user}\Documents\Qlik\Sense\Settings.ini -->

  1. Open Settings.ini in a text editor.
  2. Change StandardReload=1 to StandardReload=0.
  3. Save the file and start Qlik Sense Desktop.

Qlik Sense desktop essentially replaces Qlikview desktop.
that said if you have a Dev server complete development can happen on the server.
the script remains essentially the same only difference is that all load has to be through connections (oledb,odbc,files etc.)

Qlik Sense has a hub which is like access point. difference is that all the published apps are available through streams
