how to repair a qvf file crashed during edition

I'd worked since a month on my new apps and during  a graph change everything have been blocked, not possible to save. So at the end I'd closed Qlik sense and now it's impossible to upload this apps (it's ok with other). Of course I didn't have other backup 😉

I'm wondering if it's possible to restore the file as it seems to be possible on Qlik View or we could do something with the log file. I've no backup in the backup folder for this application.

I've already try to repair Qlik sense but I've also an error at the end of this operation.

I guess that someone could support quickly

thanks

Try to upgrade to the last version; I once faced the same issue, upgraded QlikSense and the problem was fixed

Obviously, I've uninstall my current version and download the current one : Qlik Sense Desktop 3.1 SR4 but nothing change. Still be OK for other apps but for the one I'm looking for.

When I launch it I just have the spotted circle but no message as usual to inform that Qlik will screen the app. 😞

thanks for your proposal

Do you know if we could do something from the log file which automatically created by Qlik?

Did you tried duplicating the app by Export - Import into new name ?

What version of Qliksense you are using  ?

Hello,

I don't know how to duplicate the file by Export - Import, when you're on the HUB with all app I can just right click for open without data or delete. May be there is a hidden menu ... top, bottom, left, right corner?

my updated version according previous comment is now Qlik Sense Desktop 3.1 SR4

thanks

seems that is only possible on a server but with the free version, all files are on my hard disk so not possible. I read in other topic that Qlik support could solve this issue with a special tool, but only open to people with licence. So I will ask my operation team which have 4 licence to contact them to check if possible or not.

Try to "Open your app without Data".  It helps in most cases.

Unfortunately you've learnt the hard way about taking a backup.  I've had it happen to me.

If you are supported by Qlik or a partner then raise a support ticket and send them your app and they may be able to help you.
