import large text field

I am importing data into Qlik Sense from a Postgres database.  Some of the attributes I need are stored as a text (variable unlimited length) data type and are coming through as the numeric pointers rather than the actual text.  Is there a way to get Qlik to retrieve and display the actual textual values?

Hi @datanerd916 

My suggestion is to modify the query your are using to get the data from the Postgres Database to include a join to the table containing the field description. Another possibility is to bring the table with the description and apply the text with the Qlik's data load script. Perhaps my first suggestion is better.
