qlik sense prevent users from using a connection

We are working on QlikSense 3.2.4

I created an oledb connection to a data source

how can I prevent other users from using this connection in the hub (even the root admin)

please advise

You would need to create a security rule for this purpose, potentially use Custom Properties as well to classify the one Data Connection differently than the others.

RootAdmin, by default, has access to every resource so you might be interested in creating a new RootAdmin-like administrator role with limited access to the DataConnection resource.

the issue is that we want to create a dashboard related to HR so the client doesn't want anyone to see the script except the ONE developer and also the connection string should not be used except by the ONE developer

so even if we created a security rule the root admin is able to modify it or give himself privilege to use that connection no?

please advise
