Below error may occur when the GeoAnalytics server does not have internet connection and you need to locally extract data from an ESRI shapefile or GeoJson file

Environment

  • GeoAnalytics Server (all versions)

Resolution

When loading data from an ESRI shapefile or GeoJson file, the file must be located on the GeoAnalytics server. However if the same file (ESRI shapefile or GeoJson file) is being read using GeoAnalytics Plus, ensure that the file is located on "Qlik Sense Server".

In addition to the ESRI shapefile or GeoJson file being located on the GeoAnalytics server, ensure that:

If not, then modify the file C:\ProgramData\Qlik GeoAnalytics Server\server3\modules\webmap5\config\WebMap5Module.xml and restart server.

Hi Joseph,

I want to read a shape file located in the Geo Server but are getting the error. After I modify the file C:\ProgramData\Qlik GeoAnalytics Server\server3\modules\webmap5\config\WebMap5Module.xml, I'm still getting the same error. Can you validate that this is the correct code? And also do I need to restart the Geo service or the server?

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF/8"?>

<GeoAnalyticsModule enableDatabaseAccess="true" />

<WebMap5Module />

We are using the May 2021 version of GeoAnalytics Server.

Thanks,

Renzo Hohagen
