The February 2022 release of Qlik Sense for Windows added a new feature to create more complex custom scheduled tasks, so you can for example have an app that reloads very frequently but only during work hours.
To access this new feature:
- Open the Qlik Sense Management Console
- Navigate and open Tasks
- Create a new Scheduled Trigger
Create a new scheduled trigger under actions
- In this new trigger, select Custom
Select Custom in the schedule options
- Review Qlik Help (Reload tasks - custom option) on how to set a custom schedule
An example of a schedule that reloads every 15 minutes, from 7 am to 5 pm on weekdays is:
Custom increment: 15 0 0 0
This will trigger 15 minutes after the previous trigger
Custom filter: * 7-17 - 1-5 * * * *
Please note that because custom schedules are not very human-readable it is very important to use a descriptive name for the trigger, one that matches your intended schedule, so for this example, I would name this trigger:
Every 15 minutes, from 7 am to 5 pm on weekdays.
