Previously published Apps cannot be directly edited in place. A copy needs to be created, which can then be modified and used to replace the previous version.
This ensures that users are not interrupted as the app is in use.
Note: If you do not have the appropriate permissions to duplicate the app, or the security rules have been modified, you may not see the required menu. Please contact your Qlik Sense administrator to have your permissions reviewed.
From the Hub
- Navigate to the Qlik Sense App
- Navigate to the Stream in which the App is published.

From the Qlik Sense Management Console
Early versions of Qlik Sense Enterprise may not have the option to duplicate and replace from the hub yet. You can still duplicate the applications from the QMC in that case.
- Duplicate the published app in QMC > Apps > More actions > Duplicate
- Duplicated app created as <app name>(1)
- Go to hub, you will find the duplicate app in Work stream
- Open the app, edit the app (e.g. edit data load, edit sheets, add/remove bookmarks)
- Go to QMC > Apps, select <app name>(1), press Publish
- In Publish app dialog, select Stream, tick Replace existing app checkbox
- Press [Select an existing app to replicate] under App to replace
- In Select an already published app to replace it dialog, select the app, press OK
- In Publish app dialog, press OK
- In Confirm replace dialog, press Publish and replace
