While helping Talend customers in their journey to becoming data driven, Talend Professional Services, architects, and technical managers have implemented customized solutions to address technical tasks and requirements that surface frequently during the build of production-ready applications. Our experts at Talend have packaged their experience and software artifacts into Implementation Accelerators that are collections of tools and frameworks to be utilized by our customers and partners. These accelerators have been validated by our experts and can be extended and customized based on your requirements. The immediate benefits realized by using these accelerators have been reduction in implementation cycles, cost savings, and most importantly risk mitigation.

This knowledge is now available to you as part of a Talend Academy subscription! Log in and click the Implementation Accelerators tile on the home page.

Implementation Accelerators are broadly categorized as follows:

CI/CD Toolkit

This category of Implementation Accelerators provides a rich set of tools that you can use to carry out the most commonly requested tasks for building, packaging, and testing of Talend products. They interoperate with the most common toolchains and other CI/CD tools used by our customers.

Data Integration & ESB Task Deployer

0EM5b0000045edG.jpg

As part of the CI/CD process with a Talend-based solution, it is often necessary to create Data Integration and ESB tasks in Talend Administration Center, based on the artifacts published to Nexus from Talend Studio. Talend provides the MetaServlet API as an endpoint to do this programmatically. Whilst the MetaServlet API is robust and well-specified, it can be time consuming to develop tasks in your DevOps pipeline that call its methods to define and deploy the tasks for your solution. The accelerator introduces a Groovy script that takes a JSON configuration file describing a set of Data Integration and ESB tasks, and calls the Talend MetaServlet API to deploy these to Talend Administration Center, saving you time and reducing risk. You can run the script manually, or integrate it as part of a continuous delivery process, using Jenkins or similar tools.

Metadata Framework

As part of any data integration, migration, and ingestion project, there is a need to build data pipelines. Talend metadata driven framework (MDF) makes it easy to create a large number of data pipelines in a generic way, rather than coding each individual object.

Metadata Driven Framework

The Talend Metadata Driven Framework (MDF) accelerates data integration, migration, and ingestion using reusable data pipelines. This framework will enable teams to move data from heterogeneous sources, by simply adding configurations to the backend metadata model.

With MDF, you can create data pipelines by configuring metadata rather than writing code and creating new Jobs. This saves time to develop, test, and deploy pipelines, and makes it easier to add new data pipelines into production with minimal effort.

Reusable Matching Framework

This framework orchestrates one-time and ongoing probabilistic data matching processes. It entails a collection of sub-modules that address discrete requirements for any solution that requires probabilistic data matching in batch or real-time, for example governed Data Lake, Data Migration, and more.

Metadata Driven Address Validation

0EM5b0000045fZm.jpg

This configurable framework can cleanse an address against the cloud versions of several third-party address cleansing tools (such as Loqate and Melissa Data), retrieve the possible return codes, apply rules based on different countries and then, based on the verification level, accept, reject or send the addresses to Talend Data Stewardship to be reviewed by a Data Steward.

Solution Templates

These are software artifacts that you can use when creating Talend Jobs designed to perform a specific task in your solution, for example, ETL/ELT from a source to target. There are currently over 70 templates available that you can use for reference, or that you can extend and/or customize based on requirements. They are best when used to move data from source and targets such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, GCP, Dropbox, and Oracle Cloud Object Storage, and additionally they address needs around Data Privacy and Context Management.

Here are the most recently published solution templates:

Amazon Translate Integration using Talend Component Kit

This solution template shows you how to create a custom component for Amazon Translate using Talend Component Development Kit, and how to use it in a Talend Studio Job.

Context Management Framework using Azure Key Vault

0EM5b0000045fsU.jpg

This solution template shows you how a Talend Job that requires access to a database can programmatically retrieve the database credentials from a key vault at runtime, rather than hard-coding them in an external file or a database table.

Integrating MongoDB in Talend Standard Jobs

This solution template shows you how to push downloaded data to a single collection, update and query the data, and finally fetch the data in real-time and store it using GridFS components.

Hi,

I'm unable to find the Implementation Accelerators page in the Talend Academy. I've tried searching for it as well on the Talend Academy site in the search bar but it doesn't show up. While looking through my notes I had previously saved this link, https://academy.talend.com/student/catalog/list?category_ids=27254-implementation-accelerators, however this no longer seems to work.

I'd appreciate help finding out where I can find the implementation accelerators page again. Thank you.

Regards,

Mohammed

Hello @MoeE

Are you able to see the Talend Academy full length Courses which included the Hands On Labs? I mean the courses in Qlik Learning Portal (new portal)?

Best regards

Sabrina
