More and more people are switching to Talend Data Fabric. Users love that it offers data integration, integrity, and governance in a single platform with real-time data delivery. Plus, it lets organizations start small and easily scale as their business needs grow.

A question we get asked a lot in the Community is how to move from Informatica to Talend. With all the differences between the two tools, migration can seem like a daunting challenge. The good news is that thanks to TEKsystems Global Services, a Talend Gold Partner, that process just got simpler.

TEKsystems provides full-stack technology services for more than 80% of the Fortune 500. Recently, they developed a tool called AMPGS for ETL Conversion, which can migrate Informatica workflows and mappings to Talend jobs with minimal manual intervention, reducing mapping times by up to 88%.

Here's how they explain the tool:

This AMPGS parses Informatica metadata which is then used to populate the Talend components. The generated Talend XML can be directly loaded into the Talend workspace, wherein developers can quickly validate and run the jobs. It enables a seamless migration in a cost-efficient, highly reliable, consistent, and rapid manner by reducing manual development effort.

Once migration is complete, [TEKsystems] creates multiple audit reports and a detailed summary of what has been done [so users] can validate the migrations and quickly report on it. Since this AMPGS enables multilevel migrations (at the repository level, workflow level, or mapping level), it is an extremely efficient tool for data migration.
