If there is a question of data missing after executing an Intelligent Slice data export and import for a particular time period, there are two things to check first. The Data Echo configuration includes a Primary Date Field for each primary data type. The date entered on the Intelligent Slice selection screen will query that Primary Date Field to find the data. There could be a mismatch with what it is actually retrieving compared to what you are expecting to see.

The first thing to check is the configuration. In ZGOLD – Configuration – Data Framework – Data Echo, the dates for each data type can be reviewed. Primary data types most often use a create date field, but there could be some configured for another. Below is an example from one of the Qlik Gold Client test systems. If you double-click on the data type name, it will display the window on the right. If the data type is marked as Primary, it will be included in the list of data types you can use for Intelligent Slice. The Primary Date Field is the field used as the selection criteria

This example for data type SD – SALES DOCUMENTS is using create date (ERDAT). When executing Intelligent Slice for this data type, it will query the date entered in the Date Range field to this configured Primary Date Field.

Use the configured Primary Date Field and compare it to the Intelligent Slice Date Range selected to determine if there is data missing.

If the primary data types and the entered dates are in sync with each other, the next item to check is whether the data missing is from a primary data type or one that is a downstream linkage. The date for selection is executed on the primary date type itself, but the dates could be different on the downstream data. For example, an Intelligent Slice executed for the month of January will export sales documents created in January, but it will not include any deliveries or billing documents created in January if their parent sales document was created in December.

If neither of the things seem to be causing missing data from your Intelligent Slice and assistance is needed, please open a support case (www.qlik.com/community-support-cases) to discuss further.
