A task may fail with the following error:

[STREAM_COMPONEN ]E: The "Retrieve all source columns on UPDATE" option is turned off in the log stream task settings, but the replication task configuration requires it to be turned on. [1020101] (ar_cdc_channel.c:315)

Qlik Replicate May 2024 Sp02 and later have introduced a fix for the following scenario in a log stream setup:

  • Replicate LOB columns enabled in the Target Metadata

    replicate LOB columns.png

  • The following Error Handling settings are set in Apply Conflicts:
    • Duplicate key when applying INSERT: UPDATE the existing target record
    • No record found for applying an UPDATE: INSERT the missing target record

      apply conflicts.png

The fix requires the Retrieve all source columns on UPDATE option to be turned on in your parent log stream task or the task will encounter errors.

Resolution

Turn on the Retrieve all source columns on UPDATE option in your parent log stream task.

  1. Open Task Settings
  2. Go to Change Processing
  3. Open Change Processing Tuning
  4. Enable Retrieve all source columns on UPDATE

I have this exact error after upgrading to 2024_5.  I can't find the SP02 download.  Please help.

Hi @dbower123

You can download it here, link is good until 8/21: https://files.qlik.com/url/cybrbwkrjeb7ewcn

We don't publish every service pack to our downloads page as they are generally for specific issues, and we don't want customers to think they have to install all of them. Periodically, we will put a service release on our downloads page. Service release and service pack numbers do not coincide, but a service release will be the same build as one of the latest service packs.

When needed, please open a support case to obtain a specific service pack.

Thanks,

Dana
