Qlik Replicate can use SAP HANA as the Backend Database, which you can define on the SAP Application (DB) Source Endpoint setting with Triggers in SAP HANA.

Hi,

We want to replicate data from S4/Hana to cloud environment and also we want to capture changes from SAP HANA using Log based Approach. Is it sufficient to select the SAP Application (DB) endpoint and choose SAP HANA as the source endpoint?

Many Thanks.

Thank you for the post to the Qlik Forums. If you want to retain the datatypes from the SAP Application Layer (Logical) you want to use the SAP Application (DB) Endpoint. If you want to just pull the data you can use the SAP HANA Endpoint but it will not retain the datatypes as in the SAP Application layer. If you are using the Trigger Base for the HANA Backend DB and or the Log Base please refer to the link below to ensure you are familiar with the differences with the 2 endpoint options for the SAP HANA Endpoint. Thank you have a great day.
