The HubSection_Home resource filter in Qlik Sense refers to the button which allows a user to navigate back to the Hub from inside of an application.

Default ruleset:

User-added image

Resolution:

If an administrator should want to disable this functionality for their users, for example, if the application is embedded into another page. Then they will want to disable the default rule named HubSections.

The result with this rule disabled is as follows for the end user:

User-added image

The result of this change will disable this functionality for all users. If an administrator wants to provide this functionality to a select set of users then the administrator can create a new rule in this schema:

  • Resource filter: HubSection_*
  • Actions: Read
  • Conditions: Some User Condition
    • Example: user.roles like "*Admin*"
      • This will show the Open Hub button for any user who has an Admin role assigned to their user account.
  • Context: Both Hub and QMC

Hi !

We're using the November 2023 Patch 9 version, and a Qlik logo is also present on the top left, next to that menu, and clicking on it redirects the users to the Hub, which i don't want them to see.

How do we remove the logo or remove its link to the hub ?

Thanks

Is there a way to restrict users from navigating using the Qlik logo?

It looks like August 2022 version of Qlik Sense was the last one to use the “Open hub” button. In November 2022 a new UI was released that used the Qlik logo in top the left corner of a screen to navigate users to the hub from an app.

Is it accurate to say then that as of November 2022 version of Qlik Sense the HubSection_Home resource is deprecated and is no longer available in app UI?

@veera_a In latest Qlik version we can actually disable Logo

@fabdulazeez @Do you know how that can be done? If yes, could you please share how the logo can be disabled?

In the UI settings of the App , you can click on the logo to hide it
