After an upgrade to Qlik Sense June 2018 or newer all tasks fail to reload. Could not be only related to upgrade to June 2018 version.
The error message on the Scheduler System log is the following one:
Failed to send alive notification to master. Could not obtain the current CPU load.
Unhandled exception: Failed to access performance counter data. Make sure that performance counters are enabled or try rebuilding them with lodctr /R.
Environment:
Cause:
The data from the counter cannot be loaded as an index from 'WorkflowServiceHost 4.0.0.0' is not valid.
Resolution:
Perform the following steps:
- Launch an elevated command prompt
- Run command: lodctr /R
- should this generate an error "Unable to rebuild performance counter setting from system backup store, error code is 2", move to directory SysWOW64 (cd ..\syswow64) and retry thelodctr /R command in this directory
This will rebuild the performance counters.
