Why does Gold Client generate outputs to my printer? How do I stop this from happening?

If you are running exports, imports, or various reports within Gold Client, then spool requests are being generated. The information stored within these spool requests can be beneficial so that users can see the end-result (output) of executing these activities.

If your spool requests are printing and you want to stop them from doing so, follow the steps below. It's important to understand that there are no settings specifically within Gold Client that initiate these printer outputs; rather, the printing of these spool requests is controlled by an individual's user settings.

• In any SAP window go to menu System -> User Profile -> Own Data
  • Note: this action will open a new SAPGUI session
• Select the 'Defaults' tab and under the 'Spool Control' area, deselect the 'Print Immediately' check box 
• Save your changes and exit
