There are a couple of different reasons that may have caused this result:
- Data Type CA - TEXT is used to copy text and it is linked from a large number of various Data Types within the Data Echo framework. It is possible that one or more of these links are set as inactive which would exclude it from the export. Although less likely, it is also possible that additional links to CA - TEXT may need to be added from other Data Types in order to export the relevant text.
- SAP manages a small number of text objects using the client value as part of the key; for example, if your source system is client 100 and your target client is 200, the text won't appear in your SAPGUI even though the data has been imported into the database. To resolve this, the client value must be converted from 100 to 200. Here is a list of some known objects where this issue is relevant: AUFK (Orders text), CODPSPEC (PP-PI: PI sheet/messages), DRAT (Doc. manag. system long texts), QKATALOG (Inspection catalog texts), QPMERKMAL (Master inspect. feature texts), QPMETHODE (Master inspect. method texts), QPRUEFLOS (Inspection lot texts), and ROUTING (Texts for task list types). This is not a complete list of objects but rather those that customers are most likely to encounter.
Gold Client contains some conversion utilities to assist with this issue; they are located here: ZGOLD > Post Process (located in Data Echo); on the next screen, open the Conversion folder.
