Restoring/re-importing variables stored as JSON-file from Github back into Sense

I have stored dimensions, variables, measures and fields following the recipe in this article CI/CD pipelines for Qlik Sense apps with automatio... - Qlik Community - 1860837. These are stored as a base64-encoded json file in Github. How do i re-import/restore these items into Qlik Sense again using automations? The items belong to an app, which i have also restored but I am not able to restore these other artefacts using Qlik automations.

See attached PNG (1) of my attempt with relevant blocks for importing the json-file marked in red, and details of the specific Get Variable block. See also PNG-excerpt (2) of how my JSON file looks in Github

Looks like you haven't gotten an answer to this, but I am wondering if perhaps you've figured it out on your own. I have been messing with importing app to qlik from git. When I import the qvf using the NEW mode it gives me the qvf as I expected it to look with 2 sheets and 1 table on each sheet. I have another version of the app, actually the one that was originally exported to github, but I made some changes, added a couple more sheets and charts. When I use the automation and choose the autoreplace mode the app seems to be as it was before with the additional sheets and charts, not as I would expect it to be based on the specific commit referenced version I am importing with only 2 sheets and charts.

Definitely need a way to import an old version of an app and keep the attributes/app ID the same but have it go back to the way the qvf was before we made edits.

Hi, noop, no solution and status is the same. Hmm, not sure in your case. Wouldnt you have to specify the version in order to get the original version you first exported (if thats the one you wanted)? I've not tested the autoreplace but it seems that its keeping your old things, as well as adding the new? Wouldnt it be better to select NEW so that you get the exact app and version you need? Not sure if I completely understood your issue, but defo agree on the need for re-importing old version and keeping them the same.
