Qlik Cloud Data Integration and Salesforce

Hi there,

We have just finished a trial of Qlik Cloud and the overall feedback from the trial was very positive.

I did not have enough time to fully test Qlik Cloud Data Integration with Salesforce.

Does anyone know if Qlik Replicate is the only way to use Salesforce CDC with Qlik or
is this possible with Qlik Cloud Data Integration ?

When testing I only saw the option for full loads with Salesforce in Qlik Cloud Data Integration.

I also saw error messages such as :

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for trying Qlik Cloud Data Integration !

Currently CDC with Salesforce is only supported with Qlik Replicate ("cloud sources" as you mentioned are currently full load only - however stay tuned for more updates on this type of feature with Qlik Cloud Data Integration (and register for the webinar in February for our data integration roadmap).

Hi @TimGarrod ,

I'm seeking your suggestions regarding the optimal implementation strategy for ensuring smooth data flow. We currently have a Salesforce connector in QCDI, and our Qlik Replicate license allows Salesforce as a data source. Where would you recommend implementing to facilitate seamless data transfer?

Harsh

Currently QCDI requires the use of a data movement gateway.  (This runs on a linux machine in your environment) and supports private link / private connection requirements to connect to your target platform.   QCDI provides additional features above Qlik Replicate, such as ELT transformation capabilities, automated data mart capabilities etc.

QCDI supports many relational targets and cloud data warehouses and cloud object stores as targets.  Qlik Replicate supports those and Streaming targets (Kafka / Kinesis).

I think the question is primarily of use case.

Are you looking to load data to a cloud data warehouse and add transformations ?

How many Qlik replicate pipelines do you have running (as adding QCDI would in the short term mean monitoring from 2 places, and running 2 'engines').

Might be good to have a conversation on the side regarding your requirements (and futures for QCDI).
