Hello Experts, I have two graphs, Bar and Line which has Alternate state data. But when i select the data from Alternate State Listbox, i am unable to use these in Nprinting template. Cos the alternate state selections which is done on AP are not reflecting when PDF is generated. Any ideas ?? Please help.
Please let me know if I am not clear.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks,
V.
Hi Vishwarath,
Currently QlikView NPrinting does not support Alternate States or Triggers. You will need to remove these from your source QVW and use filters to simulate Alternate States. You can see a Suggestion and comments here: Implemantation of the alternate state feature – Customer Feedback for Vizubi
Articles and tutorials on Filters can be found here: Knowledge Base – Customer Feedback for Vizubi

Hello Daniel,
Thanks very much for your prompt reply. I have gone through the first link and can see this by Riccardo Julian:
We have a beta version that supports Independent Filters ready to download inhttp://www.vizubi.com/nprinting/download-betas/
There are two tutorials to help you understand the basic concepts.
This beta supports alternate states. You can use objects which have alternate states enabled and NP will use them applying the default state.
Does this mean the version mentioned above supports alternate states??
Can you please help me understand this. Coz my list box (Alt state used) has got 11,110 values and I do not know will it take those many values while creating a filter in Nprinting.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks,
V.
The article you quoted has not been updated and alternate states will not be supported.
The betas that you refer too are no longer available as the proposed solution has been removed from any further development. NPrinting can only create reports based on the default state only.
The alternate solution to alternate states is a reporting method which utilizes table and or image filtering. This solution 'emulates' alternate states only...it does NOT utilize alternate states. It simply allows you to apply specific filters to tables or images as needed. Thus imitating or emulating alternate states.
Please see the link below for a step by step tutorial to accomplish this:

Thanks very much Daniel and Frank, will work on it based on your suggestions and get back.
Thanks,
V.
