I have a combo chart that I need to apply different filters to for different views.
For example, the first view I want to see uses the filter that includes PhaseA and PhaseB.
The next view I want to see uses the SAME chart but a different filter: PhaseC and PhaseD.
I've tried adding the multiple copies of the same chart and applying a different object filter to each but it still ends up showing the same output for both.
Hi,
nothing from your screenshots is helping unfortunatelly...
1. How do you create your filter in NPrinting?
2. How is the field used as a filter created in your script (would you be able to share part of the script which creates it)? Is it ascii text, number or maybe dual!? Can you put this field in new listbox, go to number section of properties and change its representation to "number" or "integer" and do the screenshot again?
3. How about if you do exactly the same test I did, by creating simple app, connection and report + 2 simple filters to make sure that it all works on basic report?
thanks
Lech
why do you have "Evaluate" ticked? Untick it.
You are not evaluating any formula - this filter is wrong!
This is probably why it does not work for you - as I mentioned in my initial reply that filter is probably worng...
Hi,
Did unchecking "evaluate" help adn solved the problem?
What do you mean by " using a bookmark" per page?
If you want to use it as a filter it will intersect with other filters and page field selection
My assumption is that your filter is either wrong, or not working on the same connection as charts or chart has set analysis or maybe alternate state ignoring it.
In short - your approach is correct, but there is something else wrong (what we cannot see) that is casuing that it is not working for you.
I did simple test:
Thanks for the input. Any insights on what it could be from below? I don't use alternate states. The charts work correctly in QV when I select 2 PHASES.
My dimension is: =monthstart(aggr(min(ADJ_GOVERNANCE_PHASE_START_DATE),DEFECT_ID))
Exp 1 Ticket Count: Count({$<DEFECT_ID = {"=Count(ADJ_GOVERNANCE_PHASE) = GetSelectedCount(ADJ_GOVERNANCE_PHASE)"}>}DISTINCT DEFECT_ID)
Exp 2 Avg Days:
SUM(
Aggr(
Max(ADJ_GOVERNANCE_PHASE_START_DATE)- Min(ADJ_GOVERNANCE_PHASE_START_DATE)
,DEFECT_ID)
)
/Count({$<DEFECT_ID = {"=Count(ADJ_GOVERNANCE_PHASE) = GetSelectedCount(ADJ_GOVERNANCE_PHASE)"}>}DISTINCT DEFECT_ID)

It's a text field with no manipulation. There was no difference in how it is displayed when I changed it from default to number or integer. I will try your suggestion in step 3.

Can you use a bookmark with a dimension for Page?
