Conditions vs Filters - different results based on using a condition in REPORTS or CONDITIONS tab in a PUBLISH TASK

Hi,

I'm using a classic sales app:

* total Sales: 3,39M
* Sales in 2018: 438k

I've created:

* a condition based on a variable v_sales = sum(Sales).
* a filter: Year=2018 (it is applied on a Report level)

What is see is a difference based on where the condition is applied in a PUBLISH TASK,

* If I add the condition in the 2nd tab: Reports - it works fine (condition NOT met, I don't get the report)
* When I add the same condition in the last tab: Conditions - it does NOT work (even though the condition is NOT met, I get the report).
* finally, when I increase the condition value to 4M (exceeding total sales) it is considered as FALSE so it looks like if  I assign it in the last tab, it ignores my FILTER - is that how it should work ?

Hi,

Yes-it works as designed.
Task conditions will only consider task filters where reports conditions will respect intersection of task & user & report filters.
