How would NPrinting handle multiple user important files where there may be same users in multiple files?

Hi,

We have a requirement where we want to control which reports users can access from NPrinting based on which apps they have permissions to.

Some users can access multiple apps, while others may only be certain apps.

For example:

App: Sales

Users who can access it:

Tom Smith

Jacob Wurst

Stefan Wohlberg

App: Finance

Tom Smith

Nancy Drew

Karla Andrews

We have an import file per app that would import users into NPrinting.

You can see in the above example that the two import files for each app would contain Tom Smith.

Does that mean Tom Smith will appear twice as a user even though it is the same user? In each file their entry would be the same information, except the group they belong to.

Hi Michael.

First i question why would you have 2 import files instead of just 1 file.

Second. In this one file you could maintain which user belong to which group(s). Yes - user can belong to multiple groups and you can configure it by listing (comma separated values) groups in group field for user.

User will not apear twice - user(email) is a distinct key in user list - but it will have 2 groups to assosiate with his/her name.
