N Printing High Availability architecture implementation

Hi

I want  to achieve high availability architecture for Qliksense N Printing

We are using ver Feb 2019  and we have two physical servers dedicated for N printing.

We want to achieve High availability so that in case if one sever goes down the reports can be accessed from other server with zero downtime.

Has any one implemented this.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Regards

Arvind

Hi,

At the moment (latest version is June 2019) the Qlik NPrinting server can be installed only in a single computer. You cannot, for example, install two Qlik NPrinting Repositories in two computers and connect them in a sort of cluster.

You can install two Qlik NPrinting Engines one on each computer. If an Engine stops the other can continue to work.

You could install two servers exactly at the same version, keep one running, create a backup and restore it in the second server to have both aligned but, if the first Qlik NPrinting Server crashes, you have to manually switch on the second.

High availability is a requested feature but I don't know when there will be an official and supported solution.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
