NP Sept 2018 upgrade - Check Entities observation

I'm not sure if this is a bug or is by design but wanted to share an observation I have made with the new Check Entities functionality in NP Sept 2018 version, which I just upgraded to.  If you have hidden columns in your QV straight tables, they will appear in the list of fields in NP designer Levels node (not sure if they always did or not) however they are now ending up as a warning in the list of entities not in the metadata.  I ignore the warning and do not remove the entities, and it doesn't seem to affect anything that I can tell so far.

Hi,

Hidden columns are supported since a long time. You don't see them in your source document but Qlik NPrinting adds them in the cache and can use in the template. As consequence, if you need to add something new only for reporting purposes you can create hidden columns into existing objects. The final users will not see them but you can use them in your reports.

Hidden objects (like hidden straight tables) are supported by Qlik NPrinting if they are saved on visible sheets.

Hidden sheets are not supported and they will not be added into the cache. Visible or invisible objects saved on hidden sheets will not be added into the cache.

You can ignore the warning message.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
