NPrinting Excel Data Slicers

Dear Community,

I have been using Data Slicers while Exporting Data into Excel for a while now.

I'm basically formatting the Data as Table, select the slicers from the menu (see example below)

That worked perfectly fine until I updated NPrinting to the latest version.

Now, even if I create an entirely new template, when opening the file I receive an error and Excel removes the slicers after "repairing" the file.

However when using Pivot Tables, this error does not occur.

Can anyone reproduce the error, or better, has a solution to this?

Thank You

Chris

It could be something to do with a recent patch.

Here are some links to discussions on other community boards about the error in the image attached to your discussion question.

Hello everyone,

I have the same issue: Excel fails to open report with slicer inside.

Nprinting version: Qlik NPrinting April 2020; Version: 20.10.2.0

Excel version: Excel 2016

Maybe there is more ideas how to solve this problem? Thanks

Hello @a_kulionis

in our case the issue "resolved" itself over time.

I reinstalled all office packages as well as Windows updates in general (Windows Server 2016 Datacenter).

Office Package is Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus, however the NPrinting Engine and Server are still on November 2019.

Maybe give it a try.

Did the issue turn up in a more recent update for NPrinting?

I am a bit uncomfortable with updating, if it brings back the problem.

Very sorry,  that I can't provide more insight into this.

I still hope, applying updates might help for you

Best regards
