NPrinting User Level Filters not getting Applied upon Distribution

Hi Experts,

I am importing Users and filters to NPrinting and the Filters are getting created.

But when I run a task for distributing it to users the respective filter is not getting applied .

Please help me out where I am going wrong.

Thanks

Syed Imran

There can be many places where you are going wrong. Without very basic information like the ones below it is hard to answer it:

  • version of your NPrinting
  • version of your Qlik

Also some screenshots would be useful.

I will assume you are using NPrinting Nov2018 and based on this stable and most advanced version i will try to answer your question.

So the first thing you did not tell us is how many connections do you have in your NPrinitng setup? When importing filters did you specify connection? (filters are connection specific). Second thing you did not tell us is if you would create filter directly in NPrinting and associate it with user in Admin console would this work. This would answer a question whether you are using right datatype (string, numeric) in filters properties. There are other concerns as well, like if filters do not conteract themselves and therefore are completly cleared?

I suggest you start reading help document which states quite clearly how filters do work: https://help.qlik.com . Use search there to search for filters!
