NPrinting data binding error (pixel perfect)

We are using qlikview connection to generate reports through nprinting. but NPrinting is going to be upgraded next week and new version isnt compatible with Qlikview. so we have migrated to Qliksense and need to generate same report with new qliksense nprinting connection. While adding levels in the data binding section of object, we r getting errors.

  • During Data binding into the objects, I have added all the levels as per the current template, but there are 2 specific levels which aren’t getting added and throws an error, ”An error occurred while elaborating the tags.”

Hi,

If you are migrating the template with previous QlikView objects check that there no more old tags. That you migrated all tags to the new Qlik Sense.

Check the Qlik Sense connection, do a Run Verification, and be sure all lines are green. Refresh the connection cache, close and reopen the Designer and add the entities to the Levels node. Be sure the entity you want to add is present.

If you understand which entities are creating the issue try to create a new PixelPerfect template and add just one as a level, create the related bands and run a preview to be sire it works.

If this doesn't solve please post some screenshots of the template and the error.

Bes Regards,

Ruggero

In this case, it may be a good idea to recreate the report from the start but to use the original report as a guide.

The reason is that QlikView tags/object IDs are going to be different then new Qlik Sense tag/object IDs. Unless you are extremely careful, replacing the tags in the existing report may be problematic depending on the complexity of the report. Thus you will likely see the errors that you are encountering.

Also, ensure that Qlik Sense app is using supported features and does not contain unsupported items like calculated columns.

Kind regards...
