Hi Experts,
Want to know about the utilization of nPrinting designer license.
Let's say on a server have a designer license and nPrinting server license is applied by an admin user(service account) and now multiple users logged into the windows server on which nPrinting designer is installed and a licnese is applied by their own credentials and they are able to access Designer and also able to create .NSQ file.
According to my understanding NPrinting Designer doesn't work the same way as QlikView desktop client i.e. NPrinting designer does not require license for each user logging onto the server, instead all the users can share the license applied by a admin user on the Nprinting designer.
Please let me know if my understanding is incorrect
Thanks in advance.

Hi Punit,
What version of NPrinting are you using?
NPrinting 16.0
Hi Punit,
You will need a separate license for each installation of NPrinting Designer 16.x.
NPrinting Designer & Server serve different purposes. Designer is used to create NPrinting Projects (NSQ files) that contain most NPrinting entities like Connections, Recipients, Report definitions, Tasks, Jobs, Schedules etc. Server can then be used to run these scheduled Jobs. Take a look at these threads:
And
Nprinting Client Scheduling vs Nprinting server Scheduling capability

I am aware abut the functionalities provided by NPrinting and I am keen to know how the NPrinting designer license get utilized between multiples users logging on the same server by their own credentials.
Hope you got my concern now
Hi,
I think we use such scenario. We have citrix with two virtual machines with np16 designers for multiple users.
If am assigned to either of the machines I use the designer registered on that machine - not my account.
There are 5 users and I never had any problems with license usage but I am not sure if we ever used it concurrently.
