NPrinting read from QVD

Hello,

Haven't found it but maybe there is a workaround to get Nprintin read data directly from QVD file and skip creation of qvf app?

I assume it's not but maybe you're familiar with some fancy workaround 🙂

Appreciate any tips!

Hi,

Qlik NPrinting can read data from Qlik Sense apps in a server and QlikView documents (local or from server), nothing more. If you want to read data from QVDs you have to import them in QlikView or Qlik Sense app and after connect that app with Qlik NPrinting.

This is because a QVD file contains only a single table of data https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/May2023/Subsystems/Client/Content/QV_QlikView/QVD_files.htm and not other entities like charts.

Best REgards,

Ruggero

Hello,

1. Remember that Nprinting is pulling the charts , objects, data from the Qlik Sense or Qlikview apps.
2. The QVD is essentially raw data.
3. The QVD doesn't have charts or any of the formatted things of a QVF or QVW.
4. Also the Nprinting connections require an application name that exist in the Qlik Products.
5. Please review the below information on connections:
