Nprinting Server 17 - Cache Status "Generating"

Ich have just installed the nprinting server on the same hardware as the qlikview enterprise server.

When I set up the first test connections it takes roughly 15 minutes for a .qvw with less than 1 MB.
I want to add a .qvw with 170 MB and it takes more than 2 days for caching.

Is this normal ? How can I speed it up ?

Thanks in advance

- Dirk

Ok, the solution is to downgrade to Nrpinting 16.

The current enginge of  Nprinting 17 (Release) is far too slow.

Hi Dirk,

Did you downgrade to 16?

I am currently testing Nprinting 17, and am trying to get a cache generated for a 800MB document.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

Yes I'm on NP 16 again and its much faster than the 17 Release.

I have just seen there is a new 17 SR1 Version online, and I hope they fixed the performance issue .
(I'll give it a try next week)

Hi Dirk,

Thanks for the reply.

I have moved on to evaluating NPrinting 16.

Hopefully the company will be keen to buy the Nprinting licenses and we can look again at Nprinting 17 in the future.

We have evaluated Nprinting here before but they have always been put off by the price.

At the moment Finance can see the value in Nprinting but I sadly can't take the risk with Nprinting 17 until it is more stable.
