Dear Team,
We have few pie charts from Qlik sense which has alternative measures and we need to use those alternative measures in the Nprinting reports. When generating the report in Nprinting through Edit template option, it is not displaying the alternative measure in the Template Editor. Any idea on how to get this done.
Thanks in Advance...
Malick
So, Qlik NPrinting right now doesn't supports alternative measures and dimensions. So you need to create the charts you want to add into the report or you need to create a table with the data and re-create the charts in the template.
You should create a Sense App specific for reporting with only the data and charts that you need to create the reports.
Best Regards,
Ruggero

i am not sure. but you can do alternate like
create more pie charts [ which having alt measures] how many measures you have extra that many pie charts you need to create and use the same in the designer.
Hi Chanty,
Thanks for your responding. It is one of the possible way to use the alternative measure in Nprinting but there will be too many pie charts on the sheet, visible to the users, which might reduce the quality of the dashboard. Is there any other way or can we hide the additional pie charts on the sheet?
Thanks
Malick
Hi,
Qlik NPrinting doesn't support alternative measures. The only solution is to create the different pie charts, but Qlik NPrinting supports hidden objects on visible sheets. So you can create the pie charts you need, regenerate the cache, create the templates and hide the pie charts to keep the dashboard readability.

Ruggero

Hi Ruggero,
Thanks for your answer. I could not find a way to hide the objects in Qlik sense sheet. I tried with show/Hide extension but Nprinting not supporting those objects under this extension. It would be great if you could share some link or sample qvf file to solve this problem.
Thank you

Hi Ruggero,
Thanks for your response. I think we can hide or restrict individual sheet or object only through the security rules in QMC. And even after hiding for different users it is supported by Nprinting reports.
Thank you
Malick
Does this information stand now (2020-04) ?
Or has it been implemented in NPrinting ?
Any news on this? (January 2021)
We are looking at making a large on-demand report, using alternate states per section.
I guess we need to duplicate all the dimensions for every section, instead. 😥😞
Hi,
Unfortunately the alternate states are not yet supported.

Ruggero
