Object name changes when using dynamic title or caption in Qlikview

In qlikview I often use dynamic caption and window title  for a chart (='text '& $(variable)

The name of an object in Nprinting  contains  the object ID + caption of the object (or window title ?).

The problem I have is that when the dynamic caption changes the object name in Nprinting changes,.

So in the Nprinting template the object cannot be found.

I would like to know how other users solve this without having to modify the template when the title or caption changes.  A static window title is not an option.

Hi,

only object ID is used in template so I am not sure why you worry about dynamic part? It is not used when validating entities. I tested it and have changed value of variable few times and that does not break anything in the template so I am not sure what is your issue.

thanks

Lech

Tried to get the error message again but did not succeed (luckily). I don't know what went wrong in the past when I thought that changing the object name resulted in an error.  Should have asked my question sooner, would have saved a lot of time.
