Pivot formatting changes when report is previewed

Hello All,

I have a excel template in which I have created a pivot table using QlikSense straight table data source. Here, I have selected the option "Merge & center cells with labels". But when the report is previewed, the last column group does not center the header. The header gets centered only when I interact with the pivot like collapsing the rows.

I have unchecked keep source formatting option. Any solution on this ?

Before collapsing rows,  column header always remains unmerged for last column.

After Collapsing rows, formatting gets applied and column header properly merged for all 3 columns.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the files. I tested them and I find that you skip some steps in building the pivot:

They are documented in https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/ExcelReports/Pivot-table-Excel.htm

After setting those options the pivot is created correctly:

Hi,

Qlik NPrinting does its best effort to keep the source format but it is not always possible. You can open a support ticket with everything we need to reproduce so a developer can check it.

A workaround could be to create a native Excel pivot table starting from a Qlik Sense straight table and apply native Excel formatting.

@Ruggero_Piccoli  Looks like @Aditya_Chitale  is already doing it-he builds native pivot table from Qlik Sense straight table.

I would need to do some testing, however I am little bit short of time nowadays as i am going on holidays.

@Aditya_Chitale

Are you using NPrinting chart tags in the cells that are becoming unmerged? or Just manually typed column information? What exactly have you placed in the cells that are becoming unmerged?

  • Is it a calculated dimension from the source QVF table by any chance?

If you can provide a copy of the report and a QVF we can use to reproduce the issue please upload it hear. Make sure to use sample data. See attached if that helps.

Kind regards...

Hi @Frank_S ,

I am using calculated measure from Qlik Sense in my Nprinting Native pivot table. Kindly find attached test qvf to replicate the scenerio.

Below is the screenshot of Nprinting report generated using attached test qvf.

@Aditya_Chitale

Open and Export the NP report from the NP web console. and attach it here as well but more importantly to better understand the scenario and how you have constructed the report.

Follow these instructions if needed:

Once you upload it here, I will use the exported NP report with the attached QVF to test.
I also need to check using a calculated column is supported.

In that case you may want to proactively load your calculated data into the load script of the QVF.

Then reload the QVF in the NP web console after making changes to it.
