Problem with Power Query in NPrinting template view

Hello. I have a problem with Power Query task in Qlik Nprinting template view of the report.
When I open Data Tab and then click on Connection and Tasks. The list of tasks opens but I can't click on any single task to change it's properties (I wanted to change destination worksheet). The window of propertins blinks for a moment, then disappears.

How can I change something in the Power Query tasks?

HI @Jozefswistak

  • What made you think that this would be supported?
  • What documentation have you used so far which say that power query is a supported part of NPrinting report?

Since the data in NPrinting report comes from Qlik there seems to be no officail support for external connections (I am not trying to say that external connections dont work, it is just that those are not officially documented or considered or at least scenarios like that are not documented). My bet would be to try and:

  • export such report
  • unzip it
  • make modifications to the template file (via excel)
  • save and zip it back
  • re-import / replace report

Make sure you have backup done as this is also not supported procedure.

Thank You Lech.
I saved NPrinting template as Excel file, inserted Power Query tasks and imported it again. Power Query tasks work.

The conclusion is that we need to inert and set Power Query tasks out of NPrinting app.
