Hello all,
I am new to understanding this functionality so please help me understand how it works
1. In order to publish NPrinting reports to the Qlik Sense Hub, does a user have to be licensed in Qlik Sense AND NPrinting?
2. Does a Qlik Sense user who wants to access NPrinting reports through the Hub need to exist in NPrinting?
An important additional point is
1 the user needs to have a user token allocated in sense.
2 the user needs to be a domain user and have domain user details included in the nprinting recipient user.
3 the hub for reports is not able for non domain users.
For the end user, who is purely downloading reports from the hub and NOT involved in the administration or development of reports, they do not need a token to do so.
That will be an interesting one to try out.
So a non domain user that has a token in sense but is set up in both sense and nprinting can't receive reports in the sense hub but a domain user only registered on np rinting can login to the sense hub to see reports of delivered there but not Apps and streams?
Hi All,
As far as i know - you can access hub without Qlik Sense token. You cannot open Qlik Sense application though. I guess for NPrinting report files you do not need tokens.
I am also interested in "DOMAIN USER" topic. I am not 100% sure but have the feeling that DOMAIN does not necessarly mean it has to be Windows domain. It just needs to be any DIRECTORY - i think? right??
Imagine bringing users from txt files using (via ODBC access connector) to QlikSense. You need to define your Directory (unique name) in it to enable such solution. This Directory essentialy can be used in NPrinting and filled-in in DOMAIN NAME field in USER properties.

I will try that out as that would be very helpful. it was the advice I got when setting up the hub connection for nprinting and was getting errors.
Means I wouldn't need to worry about a lack of SSO to news stand and send all users to the hub.
Hi Andy - Let me know ho did you go with this. I am very interested in results.
I would do it by myself-but i am tighted up with few projects now and have no spare time to do so.
looking forward to hear about your findings

Didnt get very far.
Tried replacing my Windows domain with a User Directory from Sense and got this. That confirms my understanding that only User on the Windows domain can be setup to access the Hub which is fustrating.
I will still try the none sense token users on the domain recieving the report though.
Regards
Andy
Hi Andy
That can be overrulled by import recipient task!
