Qlik NPrinting Service Startup Issue – Web Engine Logon Failure

I need assistance with Qlik NPrinting.

The service was working correctly until it suddenly stopped while others continued running normally.
I stopped all services in the correct order and then attempted to restart them one by one, following this sequence:

Start Order for Qlik NPrinting Services:

  1. QlikNPrintingRepoService

  2. QlikNPrintingMessagingService

  3. QlikNPrinting License Service

  4. QlikNPrinting Web Engine

  5. QlikNPrinting Scheduler

  6. QlikNPrinting Engine

  7. QlikNPrinting Audit Service

All services started normally until "QlikNPrintingMessagingService", when I received the following error:
"The operation could not be completed: the service did not start due to a logon failure."

What could be causing this issue?

Best Regards,

Marcos Faria.

Hi @MarcosFaria

I say one of the following things happen:

  • service account password or credentials expired
  • or simply service account got deactivated

Talk to your IT and check if that account is active, isn't locked and password hasn't changed.

cheers

Also your image shows you are using local user account to run the NPrinting services

ie: example of local user account similar to that used in your image provided.

  • .\useracct

NPrinting requires a domain user service account to operate normally across the domain.

Further the NPrinting server and Qlik Sense (and or Qlikview) servers MUST be in the same domain.

Supported configurations

If you are installing NPrinting for the first time, please work with Qlik Professional Services or a trusted Qlik Partner to assist you with this endeavor in order to leverage their extensive field experience with this and other Qlik Products.

Kind regards...
