Qliksense + NPrinting + Output format PDF with Excel as template Issues

Hi,

We have Qliksense Tabular Data in Qlik native straight table and Output format PDF with Excel as template.

Some rows have large text, that could even be more than a page.

Qliksense and NPrinting both are NOV 18 versions.

Issue:

Excel cell size has row height limitation of 409, so data gets truncated after this.

Workaround partially working:
Splitted data into multiple rows, issue described below:

The page has 2 table, upper table has around 25 columns and lower table has 7 columns, each column needing varying column width
So, had to align n columns of upper table to 1 column of lower table, so this needs merge cells in lower table, this merge happening only on 1st row

Please help how to solve this.

Thanks,

Narayana

Hi,

We always suggest to create a template of the same format of the output you want to obtain. So create and Excel template when you want an Excel output.

Creating PDF from Excel can generate formatting issues, like page breaks in unwanted places, and it is a limit of Excel itself that is designed to do something different. You can work with the Excel printing settings as you normally do in Excel without Qlik NPrinting but this doesn't warranty you to have the PDF that you want.

This topic is discussed in detail in this community. I suggest you to also search related conversations.

If you want to create PDFs I suggest to use PixelPerfect templates.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
