Section access in Nprinting together with QlikView

Hi,

We have a QlikView application that has Section Access implemented and it workes fine in both Qlikview desktop and on the portal (accesspoint), It splits the data accordingly so that is great.

However an issue has now occured when we are trying to import the same security to our nprinting reports (emails).

Has anyone been able to use "Connection requires authentication" for QlikView and got it to work?

The issue we are facing is that the report that gets sent out to all users still has all the data.

We did not set up any filters in nprinting because section access with Connection requires authentication should handel what you see or?

We have followed: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/June2020/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Section-access... = Still no luck

We have looked into  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifcVanz9hlA = Looks like it worked for Qlik Sense but we are using QLIKVIEW.

  • Is NPrinting service account part of your section access table loaded as ADMIN?
  • Are the Domain Account details populated for all users in NPrinitng
  • How is QVW document setting-->open tab configured, does it use "Initial data reduction based on Section Access"
  • Do you use strict exclusion?
  • Are you using windows authentication and section access based on NTNAME?

This definitely works with QlikView so for some reason something there is not done right.

Hi, YES to everything that you pointed out.

Both in QlikView desktop (the document) and when publishing the applicaton to the portal (acccesspoint) everyting works fine and users only see what they are supposed to see.

The issue lies in Nprinting or we are doing something wrong… I have setup a ticket in the support portal and hopefully they can assist us because we have followed all the steps (I would say/think).
