Does anyone know if when you have a NPrinting Publish Task that distributes a report to the NewsStand, Email, and a Folder (and all 3 destinations are set up correctly and function), can it fail for one and not the other? When I see some of my reports fail, and it is set up to distribute to NewsStand and a Folder, it appears that if it fails for a user it fails for both destinations.
Also, does anyone know if there is a hierarchy of how reports get distributed when there are multiple destinations? For example, is a Folder destination always distributed to last and is it merely copying the report there after Email and/or NewsStand are complete if part of the distribution process?
The reason for my inquiry... I want to create a QVW that will count the number of files in a destination folder to see if my whole NP Publish Task was successful or not.
Thanks.
Hi,
You can monitor the execution of a publish task by checking the Task Executions page and the logs. Starting from April 2019 you can enable task notifications via email.
Do you have a specific error message?

I need something more sophisticated that tells me what user(s) did not get their report from a Publish Task, so my idea is, using a QlikView app, loop through my report destination folder and compare the name and number of files there to what I am expecting.
Hi,
Of course you can develop a custom solution. I can only suggest the features that are available in latest official release.

Are you basically looking for something like a read receipt on the NP reports? There's currently no way to determine how a user consumed the document, whether it be from the Newstand or email. Are you trying to determine how your users are consuming the NP reports?
Thanks,

No, I was looking for a NP native way to see if each users report was generated from my NP publish task. Thanks for your input, however.
