No, it is not possible to set a maximum size of reports generated and attached to emails.
In Qlik NPrinting 17+ (you should always specify the version you are using when asking question) there is not a email sending queue. The Qlik NPrinting Scheduler starts to send emails when they are ready so it could open more than one connection to the SMTP server.
