Hi Guys,
We are sending multiple HTML embedded reports using Qlik NPrinting November 2017. One of the main problems we are currently facing is showing totals for table charts inside HTML report. As a workaround, created a extra table with totals alone. Is there any easy workarounds available for this as I have more than 50 reports. Also any idea when we will have the "show totals" option in New Nprinting versions just like NP 16?
Thanks.
Arockiya.
Hi,
HTML templates support Formulas. So my suggestion is to write a formula like =sum(Sales) for each total you need and then add it into the template. In this way you don't need to create a support table just for totals.
PS: Sukhoi Su-30MKI?
Best Regards,
Ruggero

Hi Ruggero,
Thanks for the suggestion. Creating a formula for each is good idea. but wont it make the maintenance more complex if we have lots and lots of reports in day to day operations. Also any idea when we will have the "show totals" option in New Nprinting versions just like NP 16? Is it in the roadmap?
PS: Yes. It is a Sukhoi Su-30MKI .
Thanks.

Hi,
I don't know if it is in the road map.
Maybe creating a variable in the source app with the formula in it helps to reduce the maintenance.
You need to create the formula only one time in the template, or a variable in the source app and then drag it into the template. Refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2018/Content/ExcelReports/Formulas/Formulas.htm
Best Regards,
Ruggero
