What does Custom Rows, and Expand Range do in NPrinting Excel report properties?

Hello,

Can anybody please tell me what does Custom Rows, and Expand Range do in NPrinting Excel report? I have a single Straight Table with one dimension and measure but it does not seem to do anything.

An explained / illustrated example would be useful.

Hi,

About the use of Custom Rows in compination with Expand Range you can check this article Select Top Ranks from QlikView and Use Them With Custom Excel Formulas

Expand range can be used also alone. As default behavior, when creating a table in an Excel report Qlik NPrinting adds a number of rows under the table. So if you place the tags for two tables one under the other with Expand range active Qlik NPrinting will add the rows that are necessary to display the first table and then it starts to expand the second. In this way you are sure to have all rows but Excel references are not kept.

If you unflag Expand range, Qlik NPrinting will overwrite objects that in case are under the first object.

I would to suggest to try by yourself.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
