Unable to generate cache

Hi,

I am running NPrinting server 19 which has been running smoothly for a while now. But now I am unable to generate the cache for the apps in the Connections tab.  The engine is in online status and I tried to restart all the services but no luck.

Curiously when I go to one of the connections, and click on run verification, it just hangs (with the message "Test in progress" after saying the below:

  •  Initializing.
  • The connection parameters are formally valid.

Does anyone have any steps to fix this?

This is not enough information.

  • Please provide detailed version information of NPrinting and Qlik Sense/QlikView version.
  • If it is QlikView do youu use Local or QVP connection
  • why did you need to generate metadata connection - did something change? If so, I would look around the change which has been done
  • looking at scheduler and engine logs would probably give us more information
