Hello all.

Urgent help needed !!!!

We have upgraded our prod environment yesterday successfully, but today morning we have some Nprinting reports in which Qlik entity reports are failing ,other nprinting reports are finished.our nprinting version is 19.

Below is the error for the Qlik entity reports :

WARN: error during report generation: Something report production failed

Finished content production

Failed generation of report 5f11777e-166a-43f8-b300-4d32697e9aa3 for user 6f9792c8-945c-4561-bd92-1ae20a921f94. ERROR: Something report production failed

I'm not sure why only Qlik entity reports are failing with this error.

Please help me quickly as users are waiting for the reports.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Before upgrading your installation of Qlik NPrinting please read carefully the upgrade instruction on the help site at https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Qlik-NPrinting-... and in the Release Notes of the version you decide to install. We received many support requests due to errors that can be avoided simply by reading the documentation before starting.

When you will have a fully supported installation test if you still have the issue.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

What's the full version of Nprinting you are currently running?  Your Nprinting version may not support QlikView 2022

If the issue is solved please mark the answer with Accept as Solution.

@Jay587

It is most likely that you are encountering unsupported items in your Qlik Document.

Please check these articles and select the one that applies to the type of connection (QlikView or Qlik Sense) that you are making.

Kind regards

Hi ,

I have followed the articles and did the same but no change ,still the issue is same.

I'm not sure it's due the versions compatibility between Qlikview and Nprinting ? or Is there any other work around I need to do for this ?

Please help me with this issue.

Thanks.

Hi,

If you have an urgent problem, I suggest writing to customer support that you have as a customer. This is a community of volunteers that share their knowledge for free and you have any warranty that somebody will answer you fast.

Please also invest the needed time to share with us all the details we need to understand the issue, otherwise, we cannot help. For example, add the label with the correct version of Qlik NPrinting you are using. There is not an "nprinting version is 19" and if you mean a 2019:

  • there were many releases in 2019, which one are you using?
  • all 2019 releases are no more supported. Oldest still supported release is May 2021 all SR. If you are using a no more supported release start by upgrading to a supported one, latest is best, because your issue could be already solved.

Which version of QlikView are you using?

When we will be sure you are in a fully supported installation we will be able to go ahead with the analysis of the issue.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
