Use Section Access in Report

Hi Folks

I have been trying to figure out how the "Apply User Section Access for Reports" works alongside creating a report that utilises a cycle on a field.

Nprinting version 17

Report is accessing a QlikView document

The Service account for this instance is 43620646-850, and the connection is set up to use this service account. I have then created a report which cycles over a field to create 22 different reports.  I create a task to execute that report and publish only to the newsstand.

The report failed to generate, which resulted in a warning (not sure why it is only a warning when nothing generated, but I'll leave that to later).

I get a couple of warnings from the log files stating that user 44033188 does not have access, and this is followed 20 minutes later (but on the same task) by another warning stating that 43820653 does not have access.

Those 2 users do have access to the QlikView document, and so does the service account, but my main question is why would only those two user accounts be highlighted by errors, there are 2500 entries in section access and there are about 30 registered in NPrinting.

Confusion reigns supreme........

Initially, I suggest sharing screens with your users 44033188 and 43820653.

Have them attempt to access the QVW and tables which are used in the NP report and subsequently report task, that you are resulting in the 'user does not have access' messages. If they cannot access the resources/objects in the QVW directly, then this would explain the logging errors you mentioned.

Also, check in the NP web console that users 44033188 and 43820653 have the user and or newsstand user assigned to their NPrinting accounts.

Finally, please check the following as a precaution as well and it contains important information that could be relevant to the issue you are experiencing.
