Hi,
with a NPrinting Server with no full internet access, is it possible to add a proxy server url to use ?
Which account must have the rights to reach *vizlib.com url ? The Nprinting service account or the account used in identity property of the NPrinting connection ?
For the moment, we always have the "Oops! Something went wrong :(" in the generated reports.
Did someone already met the same situation ?
Johann
Hi @jchoucq
what docuemntation have you studied so far?
There is official help site which says most important things when working with NPrinting which are:
external objects:
Vizlib - I think you need to ask vizlib about that - last time i spoke to them they were not sure what will and will not work with NPrinting. As soon as I mentioned NPrinting there was big hesitation in the responses I was getting and no one clear answer. If you are trying to use NPrinting with Vizlib - contact them for advice.
More about extensions: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2023/Content/NPrinting/Troubleshooting/Qlik-Sense-third-par...
cheers
thank you very much @Lech_Miszkiewicz for your answer !
Indeed, i already looked at qlik help site, qlik community and insight software documentation.
As you can see here https://documentation.insightsoftware.com/vizlibdocumentation/Content/General/Getting_Started/NPrint...
it is possible to use Vizlib extensions with NPrinting.
I asked for more information to see if anyone had ever been in the same configuration, i.e. an NPrinting server without full internet access. This information is not so easy to find.
Johann
HI @jchoucq
That vizlib documentation feels more like FAQ list of high level info. It mentions only "Vizlib Finance Report" in it and not other extensions.
Your best bet is talking to them or use native Qlik objects (which I encourage you to do to save you lots of wasted time)
cheers
@jchoucq connections to external data is not likely to work with NPrinting (I believe Lech already covered that)
Hi @Lech_Miszkiewicz, hi @David_Friend
after creating an exception in their proxy, allowing the Nprinting service account to access *.vizlib urls, it seems working as expected.
i'il keep your advices in mind, thank you.
Have a good week.
Johann
you are a brave men 😂
good luck - hope it keeps on working for you. cheers
