error: "The "Identity" and the Qlik NPrinting Engine service account are a Windows domain user."

Hi all,

we installed Qlik NPrinting on a server on which Qlik Sense is running also. We are aware that this is not officially supported, but according to that link it's not a compatibility issue, but more a resource issue:  https://support.qlik.com/articles/000068542

That's why the following issue can't be caused by the fact that it's installed on the same machine.

We are running into a problem when we try to create a connection between NPrinting and Qlik Sense app when we click "Run verification":

qlik_nprinting_connection_creation.png

error message is "The "Identity" and the Qlik NPrinting Engine service account are a Windows domain user."

I found multiple threads in this form with the same error (e.g. here), but the provided solutions did not work. I checked my port settings, checked the usage of the correct account, checked account privileges and technical requirements but nothing made it work.

I'd appreciate any help!

Maybe there are more detailed logs somewhere? I looked in the installation folder, but found no log.

Hi,

Refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/September2020/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/User-acco... or to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/September2020/Content/NPrinting/Troubleshooting/Verify-connect...

The user that runs the Qlik NPrinting Engine service must be a domain user.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
