hello everybody
we are encountering some issues with nprinting running tasks
and i didn't found any good ways to monitor nprinting .
how can we see if reports were generated in the logs ,
i had a look at the logs and no error appears and yet no report is generated
when administrators is looking on tasks how can he know that the last run was successful
where can we check why emails aren't distributed to clients for example?
thanks for any help
hi philipp
thank for your suggestion,
i forgot to close this discussion,
i talked with Qlik support , and the next version will provide more detailed logs.
as for the mailing issue , it's connected to the mail server i try to use , apparently if your mail server
requires user and password mail aren't sent.
this issue should be solved in the next version due to be release in august
As per my knowledge we don't any effective ways or tools except monitoring it manually
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/17.0/Content/Troubleshooting/Troubleshooting.htm
you could use this thread as a reference to debug your tasks
You can change the level of detail inside the log files using the link that Avinash posted.
Also when you edit these 3 files:
make sure to delete any instance of the following:
and then be sure to restart the services after you have saved the config files.
HI Stephen
thank you for your reply
my specific need is to monitor the emails distribution
what service handles this part of the process
i didn't find anything in the logs regarding this part
thanks ,
Hi Liron,
do your Reports include Objects added as Images? If so, try generating a Report with only tables and avoid Images. This is a known bug. Restart all NPrintign and Qlik Sense Services before you build up the Report.
A Report with Images might not work (no Preview/no Generation).
